Use of the Podbean Services is subject to this Acceptable Use Policy ("AUP"). Capitalized terms that are not defined in this AUP are defined in the applicable Advertiser Terms, Podcaster Master Terms or General Terms of Use.

Failure to comply with the AUP can result in suspension and/or termination of your account and your ability to use the Services.

Podbean may update these requirements to stay current with changes in privacy laws and industry best practices

Prohibited Uses

Podbean does not allow use of its Services in connection with content, activity, products or services that include, promote, encourage, link to or are associated with any of the following:

  • Abuse, threats, bullying, stalking, defamation, libel, harassment or hate speech
  • Inaccurate, false, fraudulent or misleading content
  • Infringement of third party rights (including intellectual property rights and rights of privacy and publicity)
  • Ads that contain or promote violence or the use of firearms; inciting or glorifying violence or harm
  • Promoting or encouraging self-harm
  • Pornography, profanity, obscenity or sexually explicit material
  • Illegal activities, violation of any applicable laws
  • Illegal drugs, drug use or possession and/or drug paraphernalia
  • Bigotry, intolerance, hate speech or discrimination against a protected group (whether based on race, skin color, sex, religion, nationality, disability, sexual orientation, gender, age, or similar category)
  • Impersonating or misrepresenting your affiliation with any person or entity

Technical Misuse

In addition, we view the following as misuse of the Services and in violation of our AUP:

  • Overwhelming the service with excess demand
  • Spamming others
  • Interfering with any security functions of the Service or circumventing technical protections, analysis and filtering
  • Attempting to reverse-engineer or obtain our source code (to the full extent permitted by applicable law)
  • Uploading, distributing or linking to malware or any other bad or annoying code
  • Framing or mirroring any of the podcasts or other materials/information available on the Services
  • Transferring or reselling accounts
  • Making unauthorized copies of any Podbean content, podcast content or end user content made available on or through the Service;
  • Crawling, scraping, spidering, or using other automated means to access the Services and/or export information or content from the Services
