9: Max Castor: Port Campbell, VIC, Australia

Max Castor planned the journey of a lifetime.  At the age of 19, he left Sweden with two friends, arriving in Australia on October 19, 2004 for an epic year-long backpacking expedition across the country. 
Six months later, Max's friends returned home.  In a perplexing move, Max sent all his personal belongings, along with his money and plane ticket, back to his family. Accompanying this package was a note indicating his intent to vanish.
And vanish he did. The mystery surrounding Max's disappearance raises a multitude of questions.  Was there an unforseen accident, or did foul play enter the equation? Did he make the heartbreaking decision to end his own life, or did he opt for a fresh start, walking away from his previous life?
Despite the uncertainty, Max's father clung to the belief that his son was alive. He tirelessly searched for Max until his own passing in 2020. The lingering question persists: Where is Max Castor?
