Decoding Baphomet

Welcome to episode 7!

We go a little deep on this one,  so prepare your souls. We dive right  into the imagery of Baphomet: the goat-headed icon of pop culture. We explore where this popular image came from, what all of  the symbolism means, who is behind the creation of this image, his ties to the Catholic Church and Freemasonry, his influences on the famous New Age occultists that emerged onto the scene in the late 19th century and ushered in the 20th century. We dive into ancient Egypt and Sumerian cultures and their lore of goat and ram worship, we tie in the Israelites and why their sacrifices to God were such an abomination to the Egyptian . And then we wrap it up with a pretty bow that brings us full circle tying into some old friends of episodes past.
