Weekly Market Outlook: May 2nd-6th - Will Delayed Planting Drive Grain Markets Even Higher?
Joe Vaclavik (Standard Grain) and Chris discuss current weather issues and planting delays among other things supporting markets in the week ahead. As inflation stays high the funds continue their long positions in the grain markets, keeping high prices supported. Brazilian weather and production issues, along with strong demand in most every sector are additional supportive fundamentals to the market. Joe and Chris also discuss the China lockdowns and the impact it may have on additional supply chain issues in the future. However, the Chinese lockdown may be helping relieve some demand pressure on energy possibly keeping oil prices a bit lower than where they might be otherwise.
