Honoring Memorial Day, SBC Releases 200-Page Abuse Database, Churches Address Mental Health
Texas Lt. Gov. Dan Patrick is urging Christians in the United States to “take hold of our
country” through prayer as the nation continues to mourn the loss of more than a dozen school-
age children slaughtered in a shooting at Robb Elementary School in Uvalde.
The Arizona Department of Education's list of student resources provides minor children with
links to LGBT-themed chat rooms where they can discuss gender and sexuality, possibly without
their parents' knowledge.
The Southern Baptist Convention has released a list of alleged abusers, following a report that
showed that the SBC had failed to properly respond to abuse allegations within its ranks.
With May being Mental Health Awareness Month, pastors and church leaders are urging their
congregations to shatter the stigma and advising that mental health isn't always a "spiritual
issue."
