7/14: Dozens are unaccounted for in Virginia after severe flooding. Inflation hits a 41-year high. Pres. Biden talks tough on Iran during trip to Israel.
Dozens of people are unaccounted for in southwest Virginia after sudden and severe storms washed some homes right off their foundations. Inflation is still rising in America and the newest figures are raising serious concerns about our economy. Turning overseas, President Biden's visit to Israel is focusing squarely on Iran. The president tells an Israeli TV channel that he wants to restart talks to end Iran's nuclear program -- and if diplomacy fails, military force is "a last resort." The family of a Palestinian-American journalist, shot to death while covering violence in the West Bank, is unhappy the president will not meet with them in Israel. U.S. basketball star Brittney Griner returns to a Russian courtroom this morning to tell her side of the story. And in London, Oscar-winner Kevin Spacey has pleaded not guilty to charges that he sexually assaulted three men. This week a 27-year-old man named Gerson Fuentes was charged with raping a ten year-old girl in Ohio. The little girl traveled to Indiana for an abortion, because under a new law, the state of Ohio would have required her to give birth, unless her life was in danger. The case is showing the impact of America's new abortion laws.
