Self-compassion is an antidote to suffering and. It is a truth that no one gets through life unscathed without suffering.
The Four Pillars of Self-Compassion
- Awareness – Be aware of what you need in the moment to relieve your own suffering.
- Be honest with yourself and accept yourself for where you are and understanding where you want to be.
- Patience – Our lives are our own unique timeline.
- Confidence and Trust – Trust you are doing what you need to do and it’s going to be enough.
- Forgiveness – Forgive yourself, let go and love yourself enough to take the next step forward.
