Constant improvement: Maximising production through self-evaluation
Jacob Knight is a 3rd generation farmer at "Boxwood", a 2,200-ha property near Mendooran, that he runs with his family.
In this episode, Jacob explains how his family have spent the last few decades slowly improving their business through self-evaluation, in an attempt to determine the best mix of enterprises. He also explains their decisions to increase their focus on dual-purpose cropping and establishing temperate pastures to maximise production in their prime lambs.
Local Land Services Cropping advisor Tim Bartimote sat down with Jacob for a cuppa and this chat at Boxwood.
