"Systemic change needs to happen": AI and the ethics of supply chain | Inspiring Industry #8
From machine learning algorithms to chatbots, and even a new Beatles song, artificial intelligence (AI) is everywhere we turn.
But what potential does AI hold for the future? Is it all positive, or are there any downsides? More specifically, how can it be harnessed within industry operations?
In this episode, our host, Danielle Champ, explores the prospective benefits promised by AI and addresses some of the concerns global leaders may have. Joined by Saar Yoskovitz, Co-Founder and CEO of Augury, the pair discuss the optimism – and skepticism – surrounding AI’s potential to transform various industries.
Founded 12 years ago, Saar’s company has been on an interesting journey after realizing the problem it originally set out to solve was not in fact its ambition.
Rather than focusing on machine maintenance issues, Augury discovered a solution in sustainability, retention, and supply chain resiliency. Ambitious to capture ever-growing opportunities and solve larger complexities, Augury incorporated process health into its mission to build a digital future.
Despite the change in tactic, its commitment to eliminating production downtime, improving process efficiency, maximizing yield, and reducing waste and emissions for its customers remains at its core.
Has your business been impacted by AI? What do you think of Saar’s optimism? Why not get involved in the conversation by responding to our Poll and Q+A?
