On this week’s episode, meet Rachel Witt, missionary to the indigenous Tepehuán people in the mountains of Mexico. Rachel’s unique ministry to the Tepehuán women, which God laid on her heart 11 years ago, involves teaching the women to cook using Dutch ovens, which has empowered them with a new sense of value and purpose.
As you listen to Rachel’s story of how she got to this point and how she continues to seek God’s will for her day-to-day life, you’ll hear an authentic and down-to-earth account of the way God can use us in our weakness. During the conversation, Rachel admits that she quickly realized she was not the idealistic missionary she had envisioned before setting out on her first trip alone. And even today, she still has moments of anxiety and discouragement. However, she continues to surrender those moments to God, and He continues to work through her.
Listen and be encouraged to submit yourself, with all of your emotions and inadequacies, fully to God. He is surely able.
