The Fit Parent Podcast with Jeff Dalzell
Health & Fitness:Fitness
On today’s episode of The Fit Parent Podcast, we talk about the importance of tracking progress and how to make adjustments.
We go into depth on:
Why the scale is actually the least helpful tool for tracking your fitness progress
Why taking photos are an essential tool for tracking progress (even though it’s often the hardest to do)
What measurements to take and how often to take them
How to use your measurements to determine what you do next
We look at ourselves every day in the mirror, but we don’t notice how much our hair is growing day-to-day. The same is true when it comes to noticing our weight loss progress. Looking at our results in a vacuum tells us nothing about how far we’ve come or how close we are to where we want to be. We need to be able to look at the whole picture to know if what we are doing is moving the needle, but the only way to do that is to track our progress along the way, with the right tools.
