"Discovering My Identity and Purpose: Reevaluating Who I Am According to God"
[SUMMARY]:
This episode is about the importance of getting to know yourself, understanding how God sees you and ways to uncover your identity.
Over the past few months, I’ve been on a journey to answer the question: Who am I? During this period of self-discovery, I learned that I was identifying myself by my roles, job title or the way others see me, but this is just a fraction of who I am. I also learned that how I see myself is contingent upon my relationship with God and how I believe He sees me. Beating yourself up is a sign of condemnation and it doesn’t align with God’s word.
What does God say about condemnation?
“Therefore, there is now no condemnation for those who are in Christ Jesus,”
- Romans 8:1
“Whoever believes in him is not condemned, but whoever does not believe stands condemned already because they have not believed in the name of God’s one and only Son.”
- John 3:18 NIV
