Prepping for the NFL Draft. Quincy on training players for NFL combine and pro days, and how to choose an agent. (Ep. 12)
Every year, stars of college football leave the comfort of their campuses hoping to achieve their lifelong dream of turning pro, ideally landing with an NFL team. But this is when, after the fun of "amateur" high school and college ball, players realize football is a business, and getting drafted by a team is like interviewing for one of the world's most competitive jobs. NFL teams are looking for the best football talent, but the league's combine, pro day and other pre-draft observations are conducted like rigorous job interviews, testing players on physical, cognitive, character and other metrics. The process is no joke. In this episode, Quincy breaks down what's at stake for players, and how he prepares them for the hyper-competitive combine, pro days and draft. He also talks about the process of selecting an agent.
