Haunted Hikes in North America's National Parks with Andrea Lankford
On this special Halloween edition of Hike, Lori takes you on her haunted hike to the Jump Off Trail in the Great Smoky Mountains National Park and then she brings on guest Andrea Lankford, author of Haunted Hikes: Spine Tingling Tales and Trails from North America's National Parks (Santa Monica Press, 2006).
Andrea talks about what inspired her to write this haunted hiking guide book, how her work in the national parks as a ranger provided first hand chilling accounts of paranormal activity. We touch on Native American legends, and frightening encounters in Yosemite, Grand Canyon and some of the unexplained experiences in the Blue Ridge Mountains.
A full interview with Andrea Lankford is coming in Season 2 where we talk all about life as a Park Ranger and her book Ranger Confidential. Hit subscribe so you don't miss it!
