Finding Hope In The Struggle with Dr. Julie Morris
Do you ever have day where you feel overwhelmed or hopeless? Do you struggle with chronic illness or know someone who does? Have you been mostly confined to your house during the pandemic? Then this podcast is for you. My best friend growing up, Dr. Julie Morris, opens up about her struggle with chronic illness and the new ministry God has led her to launch to help others. Julie has her Doctorate of Philosophy with an emphasis in Speech-Language Pathology. She is currently an adjunct professor at Oklahoma City Community College.
Her new ministry is her website, Chronically In Christ. You can view it at https://chronicallyinchrist.com. On Julie's website you will find daily devotionals which point you to Jesus and the hope which can only be found in Him. She also has invaluable insights and resources for those struggling with chronic illness.
Since Julie and I also grew up together, you will also get a glimpse of what life was like for us in the 1980's growing up in Oklahoma. We had a blast together!
I hope this episode will encourage you to remember you are not alone in your daily struggles. God loves you. Isaiah 41:10, reminds us, "Do not fear for I am with you. Do not be dismayed for I am your God. I will strengthen you and help you. I will uphold you with my righteous right hand."
One of the resources mentioned in this episode is Faith and Family Box. A monthly subscription box to help families pass their love for Jesus to their kids and have a blast together as they the experience together. You find this resource at www.faithandfamilybox.com
