In today's episode I have Madeleine Black who shares with us an incredible, yet harrowing story which led to huge repercussions in her life.
Madeleine is a speaker, activist psychotherapist and the author of the renowned book Unbroken.
She was the victim of a sexual crime that left her silent for many years, but has now found her voice and uses it as a motivational speaker and for so many who can’t find theirs yet.
It's a subject that is extremely difficult to talk about but she hopes that by speaking out and writing about it, she can help to combat it by reducing the stigma and help other victims of sexual violence, crime, PTSD, and anyone who has struggled with forgiveness.
Madeleine travels worldwide to spread her message: It’s not what happens to us that is important, but what we do with what happens to us and if we choose to, we can get past anything that happens to us in life.
A story of huge courage and hope that shows us that we are more than anything we could ever face.
