Wedding Pro CEO | Building Profitable Wedding Businesses
Business:Entrepreneurship
Jordan Oliveira-Heller entered the event industry when he bought a catering company with only the ability to make a good ham and cheese sandwich.
After the company inevitably failed, Jordan used his wedding industry knowledge and connections to move over to the venue sales side of things, first at a beach front property and then at the historic home and art museum of John and Mable Ringling.
It was during this time that Jordan created a series of networking and celebratory events that eventually became Suncoast Wedding and Event Leaders.
After leaving the Ringling, Jordan took SWEL from a fun side project to a full-time gig by adding a membership option and taking the bi-annual events and making them monthly.
During the pandemic, SWEL has shifted into a digital format with monthly webinars and zoom networking.
I had so much fun chatting with Jordan during this episode because he shares so much about his journey and how his failures became lessons that have helped him succeed! We also talk about the importance of continuing education and Jordan shares a few of his favorite tips to take the fear out of networking events!
