This is Part 2 of our conversation on Canada's immigration policies towards the Black community. It wasn't until the 1960s that considerable changes were made to Canada's policies that removed race as a feature of the immigration system. Much of the changes were made through the advocacy of communities of colour, spurred by the Civil Rights Movement.
