This week, we skip the usual talk about movie news to jump right into Marc's favorite time in Film History, Film Noir!
We start with the history of the time period before the film of the era this week to help ground it in the world first. We think that worked out really well and we hope the change is good for you too! We discuss the trauma of WWII, the "return to normal life" after the war, how characters are treated in Film Noir Cinema, and finish up with a talk on if it can be considered a genre.
Don't forget to follow us wherever you're listening, share on social media, and give us a review! All of those help out the show more than you could ever know, no matter how many drunk gumshoes you hire to track us down the seedy alley where we record.
In this city, the air always smells of rain and half-smoked cigarettes, it's Guerilla Film History Now! Sources:
