Unwritten Rule #1: Once a teacher, always a teacher.

I thought when I left teaching behind, I had wasted a good chunk of time. I went back and forth with my personal frustrations of not leaving sooner. I wanted nothing to do with teaching. Now, almost 3 years away from it, I am finding out that the skills that made me an effective teacher are exactly with makes me thrive as a business owner. Leaving your 9-5 does take an emotional toll as we transition. Those skills that made you amazing at your old job will make you great in this next phase.
