Dr. Jason Anastasopoulos is an Assistant Professor of Public Administration and Policy at the University of Georgia. He is also Adjunct Professor in the Department of Statistics and a faculty affiliate at the Institute for Artificial Intelligence. His research focuses on how technological innovations shape politics and society for better and for worse. His current work focuses on understanding how artificial intelligence, biotechnology and blockchain technologies are rapidly ushering in social and political changes and how to ensure that these technologies do not interfere with things that we hold dear such as human rights, individual rights and basic civil liberties. He is currently working on a book exploring how technological innovations shape international relations and a book on the influence of central banking on American politics.
