This week I talked to Lisa Kuzman, a leadership coach in the business space. Lisa works with coaches to teach them how to be trauma-sensitive. She also offers trauma-sensitive business and leadership coaching to business owners with a history of trauma. Lisa is a trauma survivor and former social worker and she has worked with different administrations which she says are the root of her passion for trauma coaching
When you have a very big emotional reaction to things that are out of context, that is a signal that you're probably experiencing trauma that you’re not aware of. You can’t prevent trauma triggers from occurring and it’s important to be aware and learn how your unique trauma presents and the unique needs you’ve in those moments. You can do some healing and it can shift your response but you’ve to attend to yourself with self-love and kindness in every situation.
Join the conversation with Lisa as she shares her trauma history, healing journey and how she got into trauma-sensitive coaching space. Healing from trauma was transformational for Lisa, it helped her to shift from not making money, working 60 hours a week, and the fear of raising her rate not to abandon people to making a sustainable living, embodying self-love, self-trust and self-confidence in a balanced way, being transparency about her traumas and attending to her needs with self-compassion.
