Today’s episode is all about taking the risk. Trying the thing that scares you. Giving it a shot even if you don’t think you can do it. That is the lesson that I learned from current Wichita State communication student, Jacob Workentine.
Jacob is a talented and skillful videographer and motion graphics editor and he’s currently in his senior year with us in the Elliott School. I asked him to join me on Create Space to tell us the story of how he entered a NASA Space Apps Hackathon competition…on a whim.
This competition is designed for science, technology and engineering professionals. Jacob came in as the only person there from a creative industry and he decided to just try it and see what could happen. He put himself in a space where he wasn’t for sure if he belonged and he ended up winning first place in the competition.
Jacob is as fearless as they come and his story inspires me to shoot for the moon every single day! I hope it does the same for you.
