For our second episode, we are fortunate to have as our guest Dr. Laura Nimmon, a Scientist at the Centre for Health Education Scholarship (or CHES) and Associate Professor in the Department of Occupational Science and Occupational Therapy, Faculty of Medicine, University of British Columbia. She is also an Associate Editor for Perspectives on Medical Education. Dr. Nimmon’s research focuses on social structures in the health professions and in health professions education, challenging the widely held belief that the goal of health professions education is to develop ‘independent practitioners.’ Her work has practical and theoretical applications across the spectrum of medical education. Her recent work on social networks and how they inform reflection, faculty development and professional identity formation, amongst a wide array of other things, will be the focus of this podcast.

Elle est également rédactrice en chef adjointe de Perspectives on Medical Education.
