Our identity as Christians is multifaceted. At the same time we are slaves to Christ and His friends, we are also sons and daughters. Our identity is also being called the Bride of Christ. The Bible refers to both the corporate and individual Church, the New Jerusalem, and us as individuals as the bride, and makes it clear that Jesus is the bridegroom (Is 54:5 and 62:4-5, Mk 2:19-20, Jn 3:29-30, 2 Cor. 11:2, Rev. 19:7-8 and 21:2-3 & 9). With the perspective of being a bride in mind, and through the lens of the Song of Solomon, we can learn more about how God sees us and our relationship with Him.
Join us in Wilmington as Senior Pastor Ryan Meade continues our series unpacking the vision for RLW and encourages us to grab a hold of our identity as the Bride of Christ and the perspective of ourselves that comes along with that identity.
