More about Emily, Kirsty and Elaine: Dr Emily KennedyCluster Lead Pharmacist and Respiratory Specialist Pharmacist (Dumfries and Galloway) and Clinical pharmacist, Climate Change and Sustainability, Effective Prescribing and Therapeutics Division.
Emily has worked in primary care, Dumfries and Nithsdale for 20 years after previous experience in hospital, academia and community pharmacy. Emily has been heavily involved in developing and managing the pharmacotherapy service within General Practices and has special interests in Respiratory and Pain. Emily is a credentialed consultant pharmacist, an independent prescriber, works with many continuing education bodies (NES and universities), chairs the Scottish Respiratory Pharmacy Special Interest Group and represents Pharmacy on a number of respiratory committees. Emily is currently seconded to the Effective Prescribing and Therapeutics division at Scottish Government to implement climate change and sustainability plans in respiratory and polypharmacy.
Dr Kirsten WooleyGP Craigmillar Medical Practice and Professional Advisor to Scottish Government on practitioner (health and social care) wellbeing
Dr Kirsten Woolley is a GP in Craigmillar, working with patients who form part of the 15% most deprived in Scotland. She has an additional role offering advice to the health workforce directorate in the Scottish Government and supporting the delivery of mental health support to health and care workforces in Scotland.
Dr Elaine TaylorElaine is a GP in Lothian. She is an Associate Adviser with NES, as Module Development lead for PBSGL and lead for the Whole Story Podcast series.
Elaine is passionate about professional development and has held roles in undergraduate and postgraduate medical education at both local and national levels with the RCGP and NES. She has a decade of experience as lead for Clinical Communication at Glasgow Medical School. She is an International Coaching Federation globally accredited Coach. She has a Masters in Clinical Education, whose research focus was professional identity development.
