Adarsh sits down with Nafiza Anwar, Director and Co-Founder of the Association of South Asian Midwives, to discuss her career to date, challenges in her journey as a midwife, and what our healthcare systems needs to resolve to become more equitable.
Nafiza is a healthcare professional with over 25 years of experience across a wide range of health related areas. Throughout her career she has developed a strong passion for inequalities of healthcare in health systems not just in the UK but in the developing world too. In pursuit of her passion, she completed a public health masters, secured a scholarship within the department of international development, and worked as a project manager for women's health projects in South Asia.
