What would happen if Black adolescents saw in THEMSELVES, what this BROTHER sees in them?!
Some people see problems as problems. Others see problems as OPPORTUNITIES to search for and implement SOLUTIONS. In other words, some people actually BE the change that they want to see.
Meet my friend Mr. Patrick Price who after serving several years enlisted in the U.S. Army, he attended and graduated Magna Cum Laude from North Carolina A&T University, a Historically Black College University (HBCU) in Greensboro, NC with a bachelor's degree in criminal justice. I met him online a few years ago in a Black Future Law Student group on Facebook. He ended up leaving Law School because he instead realized a pressing need in our community.
He is currently enrolled in a master’s degree program with a specialty in school psychology because he identifies a problem in our community among the adolescents and he wants to MENTOR, EMPOWER, GUIDE, STRENGTHEN, MOTIVATE, INSPIRE and ENCOURAGE our adolescents, before they have a chance to get to the legal system.
This Brother, in real life DECIDED to BE THE CHANGE HE WANTS TO SEE! Words cannot express how PROUD I am of and how grateful I am for this Brother's work, ACCOMPLISHMENTS and ACHIEVEMENTS!
PEACE!
