Here you go, the real deal. Musicians, real ones, who take chances and put themselves out there. The best of 2012, so far, in the first quarter. No cover bands, no posers, no weekend wanna-be's here. No NashAngeles created rhythms, software created lyrics, or consultant-bred fake outlaws here; they aren't welcome. No pop-country found here, no R & B/Country Lionel Ritchie/Rascal Flatts crossover pop shit here, that crap is shown for what it is here in Desolation Angel territory; fake, plastic profit driven garbage. If it's the junk you can hear on Kix Brooks, Jeff Foxworthy, your local Young Country or Classic Rock station, or can be seen on the CMA or AMC awards, you can't hear it here. Out here in the Desolation, all you hear is authentic, real, raw, passionate musicianship, hard work, originality and dedication. The best of 2012 so far:
- Shooter Jennings
- Justin Townes Earle
- Lucero
- Ray Wylie Hubbard
- Lincoln Durham
- Kara Clark
- Otis Gibbs
- The Boss
- Sons of Bill
- Turchi
- Dr. John
- John Henry and The Engine
