Men's Rules or God's Commands?

The Pharisees and teachers of the law charged Jesus with not observing the tradition of the elders which they regarded as on par with God's commands. Jesus responded by saying the tradition of the elders were man-made rules and regulations. The Pharisees and teachers of the law stressed the importance of being ceremonially clean. Jesus stressed the importance of being inwardly clean. A danger for us today is to shift the focus of our obedience from the inward to the outward. Pastor John Ting preaches from Mark 7:17-30.
