Fear & Fascination || Melody Hasselvander, creator of comic series Ragdoll
Aired Thursday, 23 July 2015, 3:00 PM ET
Ragdoll is a surreal journey through the minds of living dolls and broken slaves, and an exploration of what it truly means to be free; a sprawling epic that spans time and space, sex and death, life and imagination. It contains scenes of graphic violence, as well as nudity, sex, and foul language. This series is a horror/fantasy/sci-fi story that delves into the realms of spirituality, drugs, psychosis, and the dizzying reality of the human condition. Ragdoll is absolutely not for children, and
SUGGESTED FOR MATURE READERS only.
Melody is the inspired artist behind the White Light Express logo, illustrated a special theme for the award winning magazine “The Hiss Quarterly” and created the stunning brand for “The Cosmic Hooker”, as well as other commissioned work.
Melody Hasselvander began her career as a self-published comic book artist in 1995 after a sudden and miraculous inspiration for her ongoing series, Ragdoll. She is a self-educated outsider, specializing in sequential art and storytelling. Her special achievements include survival, perseverance, and determination in the face of adversity and the Blue Collar Goddess cannot wait to interview this amazing artist who is braver than anyone she knows.
