Each year the Alpha Phi Alpha fraternity through the Zeta Kappa Lambda Education Foundation holds the Black & Gold Ball a fundraising event focused on educational scholarships for Central Iowa youth. It is not only one of the very best events in the Des Moines Metro the work these men do during the year is stunning in shaping leaders for the future.
