Stefania Magidson – Searching for the White Magician
It has been said by philosophers and seers that we are “spiritual beings having a human experience.” What does that mean? If it is, in fact, true, what is our purpose and why are we here? Does it mean that within each of us is profound and timeless knowledge, the potential for doing great good and the manifestation of what is foundational to every faith and religion, loving and caring for one another?
My guest this week on Destination Unlimited, Stefania Magidson, has lived this path. Stefania was born in Romania and immigrated with her family to the United States in 1983. She received a BS in Health Education and a Master’s in Applied Spiritual Psychology. In 2002, she founded the Blue Heron Foundation, one of the largest non-profit organizations in the Romanian Diaspora, focusing on improving the quality of life of Romanian and Moldovan orphaned youth by providing them access to life’s opportunities through merit based college scholarships. To date, the organization has raised more than $2,000,000, has awarded more than 300 scholarships and has touched the lives of more than 2,900 young people. Stefania is a supporter of the UCLA Graduate School of Education, The Everychild Foundation and many more educational and philanthropic organizations. You can find out more about her work at blueheronfoundation.org and she joins me this week to discuss her book, Searching for the White Magician, a series of dialogues where she explores themes ranging from immigration and philanthropy to spiritual psychology and self-realization.
