208 - Maybe Jordan Peterson is an Asshole

We had a bunch of stories lined up that we were going to talk about, but a glance at Facebook derailed the entire show because we decided to chuck most of our plans out the window in order to talk about Jordan B. Peterson.

 

If you're unfamiliar with Peterson's body of work, you've probably spared yourself a lot of time and confusion. He's a Canadian clinical psychologist and professor of psychology at the University of Toronto, a YouTube sensation, a darling of the alt-right, a purported champion of free speech, and now a best-selling author.

 

He's also a ginormous asshole who couches his sexism, racism, misogyny, and a host of other Victorian-era ideals in a word salad of pseudo-intellectual and pseudo-scientific verbosity that would put Deepak Chopra to shame.
