The Implicit Association Test (IAT) helps investigate prejudices and stereotypes, i.e. how strong are your associations between two constructs, e.g., are you a cat lover or a dog lover. Cat lovers may associate pictures of cats and words related to "cuteness" faster than pictures of dogs and the same cuteness-words.
