In the Mood for Chaos: A Riverdale Roasting and Recap Podcast
TV & Film:TV Reviews
As if there wasn't already enough going on, the writers are trying to shove in a conflict between the North, and South Sides of Riverdale. I guess they can check 'class warfare' off of their hot-button-issue BINGO card now.
Actual real-life serial killers that caused actual real-life grief, damage, and horror are now being referenced in this televised nightmare where intergenerational blood feuds are just as important as wondering what music to play at the school talent show. It's just as tactful as you would expect.
Betty finds out she's got a secret admirer and goes about dealing with it in the Worst Way Possible, Jughead is into true crime (suddenly) which he flaunts as though it's weird and not a hugely popular genre, and while everyone seems to be at odds, at least they can all agree on one thing: Archie's video was unfathomably stupid.
Evelyn voices one of her most-hated tropes, and sings us a lovely song about being confused. Miranda makes a weird analogy that has something to do with cacti and Dr. Gregory House, and also talks about - you guessed it - Shakespeare again. In a stunning turn of events, she also manages to finally, FINALLY, impart information upsetting enough that it makes Evelyn scream.
