Oops, I think you fell into the secular trap. It is quite clear that the founding people and documents endorse and support a faithful position. The intent has always been that government needs to stay out of religion but it was never to be true that religion/ Christian religion, be excluded from government. It is a all too common secular position that it’s a two-way street government out of religion and religion out of government and that is most definitely not the intent of the founding people
