I understand that rumination or pure "O" is in fact a compulsion. Because thats what i have. But to say that you can stop it in an analytical way is hard to believe. Specially for a person who don't respond to medication. For me medication works but before taking meds the rumination almost ate me alive. It was painful and agonizing. If a person don't respond to meds it is imperative to go thru an intense therapeutic method to diminish the rumination.

LOVED IT! So inspiring and thought provoking. I had struggled with compulsive skin picking for about 17 years... (and lots of other kinds of ocd too)... thankfully it’s much more under control than it was when I was younger, but it’s still a big issue for me. I also love doing art. This episode is making me wonder how I can be creative in overcoming my skin picking issues, eg. Do art instead. Thanks!

Great podcast. I'm a pure o sufferer and it's not been fun haha but I'm nearly better now. Or just know better how to cope.

I literally had the first two examples of Jesus and babies, its horrible but I feel so much better knowing he had exactly what I had. crazy it's like listening to my thoughts that I have never told anyone on tape.
