This moment s getting hard to listen to. Mum saying all the time " if he was white ". In this scenario, difficult to PROVE any " race " motives.
Don't understand if he was shot in the back, why was there no blood in the back of the car, REALLY . Cleaned up the back of the car, probably?

How was a family able to take home a vehicle that would have been a part of a crime scene? It should have been held until a suspect for the shooting could be found and gone over with a fine tooth comb for evidence! The police messed up there. That scenario makes no sense. So sorry for this family. No parent should ever outlive their child. Sending you peace and healing light.
I kinda understand what @orlando1 is saying because think about it. The alma lady knew whT happen and didny say a word till 2 years later. It must have been eatting out her conscience. I believe alma was dating someone who didnt like it. There more to the story and that guy with the long hair should be the number 1 suspect. Espi ally when it come to the Latinos and black race always fighting against one another. I am just praying for the mother to find peace.
I admire this Mom's persistence to take on the "Machine" of injustice. I understand her "Rage Against the Machine"...and hope she can find some peace on the other side of bringing her voice to people like me who didn't always understand what she and her community have faced. Thankfully I have friends who didn't take offense when I asked questions and we have people like her who bring the pain to us in an unfiltered way
No one deserves to die because of relationship issues/jealousy etc. Seems to me your child has a judgemental father who dismisses a person's right to life over petty Male ego jealousy. (Women are not property-"some dude('s) wom(a)n"??) Hope if your child is a girl that you evolve the attitude to this century.

I have only listened to 75% of the first episode, and I had to stop, because I got so angry. I will listen to the rest of the podcast, but I have to say that I cannot imagine what you went and are going through. my prayers are with you., And I personally cannot sit on the sidelines. I am spurred to action.
I am enjoying this podcast. My heart broke as I listened to Courtney's Mom say goodbye to her son 💔. I just lost my husband to brain cancer so of course I was in tears. She is so brave and admirable for fighting for justice for Courtney. It's despicable that young black men are still in danger everyday by the very people meant to protect us. It needs to STOP!
