What a great episode! I like the idea of not having to touch the laundry again multiple times, that totally makes sense. But what works for my family is I have my 9 year old son do his laundry on Saturday and then on Sunday I do mine, my husband and my daughters laundry all on Sunday. When each load is finished I put it on the couch. I HATE clutter or things being where they aren't supposed to, and I would hate for someone to see my laundry piled up on my couch. The idea behind it is that after my kids are in bed, I sit on my couch and fold the laundry as I watch my tv shows. Laundry is actually one of my favorite chores because it's so "easy." Toss it in the wash, do something else. Toss it in the dryer, get something else done. Toss it on the couch, sit down and watch tv while folding. Easy peasy ;)
You set me free with the dishwasher story as well! I was more like Tonya with the allowing the dishes to pile up & up & up. Or fuss at my children for not âdoing their choresâ (although momma does/did not do hers either!). But my HUGE WIN from joining Clutter Free for Life this year has been that I unload the dishwasher & sweep the kitchen floor every morning as part of my morning routine while the coffee is making. To anyone who has not struggled with this, Iâm sure this seems silly, but to someone like me who has allowed herself to become âOverwhelmedâ with the tasks that comes with everyday life.
Wow! The âhole-punch reminderâ is ingenious!!! And the title of this podcast is so so me! Thank you!!! Question though. I signed up for Clutter Free for Life back in December/January, and joined the Clutter Free Academy Facebook page, but is there also a Clutter Free for Life Facebook page that I shouldâve signed up/into for? I get the emails but I think Iâm on the wrong FB page. :/. But love it nonetheless! Itâs awesome for those who canât afford to sign up for CFFL!
I love what she said about running around when someone is coming over to clean up the house, that our roof has become our identity and therefore our idol! Good stuff! But now my toes REALLY hurt! Thank you though!!! Love your podcast!đ
Love this! Canât wait to take the quiz! This podcast was just so much fun to listen to! Just found myself smiling just listening to how you two interacted!
The mess I am in at this time in my life, is the nearing of our completely empty nest, as our youngest will be graduating high school in December and moving on to college. And trying to repair a 21year marriage that we have not nurtured and/or fostered because of a lack of a true understanding that your spouse should really come BEFORE your children right after God. Along with battling major depression & Lupus. Then Saturday my youngest told me that she is âpan-sexualâ. Not that I believe that is any worse than any other sin, just that I donât believe that is what God intended for her. And Iâm afraid that she is just following a âtrendâ where alternate lifestyles as well as having mental issues/disorders, going to therapy, etc. is the âcoolâ thing to do. I also wanted to tell you that I LOVED the comment you made ânobody is asking your husband when he is going back to workâ. Thank you for all you do!
Very cool segment! And I would love to win the book about living an Outside Life!
I donât think Iâve heard one podcast that didnât hit home with me!!! While Iâm still struggling to get clutter free, I see the light at the end of the tunnel. And I now realize that I didnât get this way overnight & Iâm not going to get out overnight! But I AM MAKING PROGRESS!!! Thank you for allowing God to work IN & THROUGH you!!!
WOW! The whole idea that our âplansâ can be âclutterâ has blown my mind!!! That is SO SO true!!! And not something I had ever even considered! Thank you!!!
God wants more FOR than God wants FROM me!!
