Also I’ve only ever seen the original air date ending, that was what was on my vhs.
They are wrong about the HD intro the head is cut off by the bullies, it’s not loose because of Bart.
As a Scot, I found this episode funny. Don’t think they do enough Scottish jokes to be honest.
was funny that the guest Nick mentioned David Cross at the end there as I’ve spent the whole episode thinking that’s who he sounds like lol
love you’re content keep it up
Flanders always seemed like that guy who seems nice but is always bragging about how much better off he is when first introduced, the church stuff came later and then became his personality.
never understood the hate for apu. he was the most positive stereotype in the show, his character had growth and development far beyond others in the show. I’m Scottish, groundskeeper Willie doesn’t represent Scotland but I don’t care because the character is funny.
The uk Dennis the Menace is actually a menace. He’s the lead character in the beano comic. The US version of the cartoon was just called Dennis here.
discovered you guys after listening to the whm episode for despicable me 2, love the show making my way through the whole back catalogue now
Could also argue that when it cuts to wigum he was getting off phone with someone else and not homer when he says 723.
For some reason, half way through this episode, it switched to the audio for Homer’s Triple Bypass
The audio is from the previous episode Lisa’s Substitute. Boy I hope someone gets fired for this blunder
I think the ’recovering alchoholics are cowards’ line is less of a ’they’re quitters’ joke and more of a ’they aren’t brave from blackout drunk and mean anymore’ joke.
”Willie wasn’t ” was my favourite joke in this episode
