I agree He is a,clever and well read man and yet he can’t see some very obvious things. I think for JDs sanity and reputation he is better off out of this David Vance did an excellent short podcast on this.

Oh bugger who’s gonna fill this void?

is ultra-primitive for commenting. I emailed them and they told me comments are handled separately from the actual podcast and are not under their control, so nothing can be done.

I think the adjective is probably ”bittersweet” – the last few episodes were starting to include segments that sounded rather acrimonious, and I the listener was beginning to wonder whether the friendship was going to survive. Eight years is a long time to have weekly heated disagreements, so the ”repurposing” is probably a good thing. Looking forward to seeing what LC2 will look like. I’ll miss the frequent technical SNAFUs, for which I’ll have to rely on the Delingpod and the Weekly Sceptic.

If James wasn’t so tetchy and sensitive it might be less awkward for Toby. Shame really was one of my favourites. Doubt that the monthly session will attact that many and adverts will be fewer?

Thank you both for the era of London Calling. During the crazy covid theatre it was a life saver. It’s been getting more difficult to listen to recently and I am relieved it will take a break, and come back refreshed. Thank you both

I am convinced Toby’s controlled.

Luckily no-one forced you to listen.

Very ssad you are ending London Calling in its’ present form. I guess all good things come to an end. Tuesdays will NOT be the same without you both. I totally agtee on Toby’s point about the modeling on how to disagree without a mass fall out. For the record, I am 100% TEAM JAMES! Maybe Toby, you’ll now have time to research some of the ’conspiracy theories’ James talks about. A top read...180 degrees - Unlearn the lies you’ve been taught to believe. Top podcast - The Delingpod !! Thanks both

I’m more team James than ever. Really sad to see it end. My guess is that Toby had to save his mainstream career so was advised to distance himself. Guilty by association. I did love your discussions when Toby didn’t interrupt all the time. Thanks for a great run. Times they are a changing….. See you on The Delingpod
