My Great Grandmother left me her copy of the Imitation of Christ. I read it, but struggled with understanding it’s meaning. It seemed out of reach for me to achieve. Through Father Joe’s beautiful reading and insightful commentary, the book came alive for me! I have always treasured this book, now even more! Thank you, Father Joe for the gift of this podcast.

I am enjoying The Imitation of Christ with Father Joe. It helps to hear him give an explanation of the chapters. While I understand what I am reading, I consider Father Joe’s commentary as a mini homily. Comforting and inspiriting words to follow Jesus.

Amazing Job! Spot on! Have to say it was good to have your voice and thoughts - on my drive going to and coming off of a night shift - going on, I would often be reminded of something you read or mentioned with a particular patient (I’m no Monk and not a holy person but obviously, Papa God made it work for me) and you would keep me awake on the way home. Looking forward to Saint Stan’s Mystical Temple of God (no impertinent meant- He’s an amazing Saint)! So glad you’re continuing with these!
