This was a very eye-opening podcast series. I learned things about our nation’s RECENT past history and how that history is repeating itself right now in the years 2016-2024. Rachel Maddow provives the remedy that WE, THE PEOPLE must use to stave off this 2nd dark chapter in America’s history of a demigod seeking absolute power - to VOTE HIM OUT. AMERICA cannot wait for nor depend on the legal system nor members of the hard-right Republican Party to save us. It’s up to US to save ourselves.
It’s frightening only because this time instead the protagonist being a sitting U.S. Senator, it’s a former U.S. President. The only way to stop the madness is for WE, THE PEOPLE voting to ensure Trump never returns to power again.
Trump = Sen. John McCarthy Silver 👕 = Patriot Front Communist = Fascist Imperium = Project 2025 Trump’s 2016-2024 antics are taken directly from the McCarthy era pro-/America 1st nationalism playbook.
Only one word can be used to describe the events covered by this series... Frightening!

So, Trump/MAGA’s allure with fascism isn’t based on Mein Kumph but Imperium instead. Interesting... They’re still wrong but interesting, nonetheless, that their belief system really isn’t based on Hitler’s idealism.
🤔 Is it possible that Rachel Maddow is warning us that a certain someone who once held the highest position in public office, was willing to ”share” nuclear tech w/Russia and who eventually was caught storing boxes of classified document in his residential bathroom could be on the take with Russia? History does have a way of repeating itself. 😏😳
The story of political corruption within the halls of Congress and the warning of how easy it is for fascism can worm its way into our national politics continues. We should heed the warning because it’s once again happening through the willfulness of conservative ideology.

This is really an eye-opener. There is so much history out there. If we don’t learn from it, we will be doomed to repeat it. At this rate, we will be repeating it. I didn’t know what was really going on here back then. I’m so surprised.
