May the families of these people have peace. May the past teach us how to make positive change instead of hate. And may our nation one day be a fair society, one people with a shared vision.

A profound final episode. Not an ending, but an opening

I can't stop listening because the process, the historiography is messy and captivating. This helps keep the series from being sensational

I can't stop listening. I love the historiography... hearing the process

What was not talked about was the possible hurt inflicted by his parent or parents on Elmer.

This was a wonderful series. I thought the pace was a true reflection of your journey to peel the layers of truth and the resistance to their revelation.

Awesome job - thank you for being so thoughtful and thorough. Love Joanne and what she is doing. Would love to do a tour with her, not excited about visiting Alabama. Appears most whites attitudes are still in 1950s.

Excellent!

One of the best thing ever with NPR name to it, just amazing how little one can believe and what Americans have come to believe, very sad how deep race and white people’s attitudes will go.

Really wish they didn't drag out the story. Each episode wastes at least 5 minutes with pointless bumper music.

THANK YOU! Wow, i hate that HIS story of falsehoods and fabrications were and are still allowed to "live" to give solace to racist inhumane people. How ever is this country going to face up to its sordid past ans stop white supremacists from repeating and maintaining America in this false state. Love the work you're doing, hard to listen and not feel how devilish some whites have and continue to be. Poignant - "Until the ones with blood on their hands and the ones with scars are both dead." The problem with that is the ones with blood on their hands have evil descendants and followers and the descendants of the scarred continue to be oppressed.
