fun fact: the reason some older Italian American accents drop off the last couple syllables is because of the history of Italy. the country didn’t exist until the late 1800s, and it used to have a multitude of different languages and dialects. The Italian spoken today is closer to the Tuscan dialect in the north. But farther south, closer to Sicily, they would pronounce prosciutto ”prosciut” and mozzarella ”mozzarell.” A lot of early immigrants came from those areas... (dang ran out of space...)
microwave hack: whenever you’re cooking pizza or bread stick a mug with a little water in there. it boils and evaporates, keeping the bread from drying out

Aw poor gal! She moved to a new city for a new love and a new kind of love! I hope she can find good friends in her new city that aren’t connected to her ex, but knowing lesbians that might not be possible
I love everyone on the show today but yall need to read more about genetics.... here we go: The reason no one has ”YY” chromosomes is not because the Y chromosome is ”junk.” It is because the Y chromosome does not have enough genetic information to make a human being. It only modifies. (Think of the X as the computer game, and the Y as DLC.) There are no ”XX” sperms or ”YY” sperms. A sperm carries one chromosome, either X or Y. The egg has the other chromosome, and it is always an X chromosome.
5 out of 5 stars from me! This Podcast never fails to cheer me up :3 At this point its my only source of news. And I guess I am happier this way. Thank you for so many laughs!
A correction on my earlier comment, they’re semiaquatic animals who spend their days in water and come onto land at night to feed on grasses.
Okay, on researching this a bit more they do charge humans. But I think the majority of deaths from hippos come from capsized boats, not charging. They’re territorial and humans have been encroaching on their habitat
I had always heard the danger from hippos was capsizing. They’re aquatic mammals who graze along the bottom of rivers and lakes and when the rise to the surface knock over boats. I could be wrong
Part of the reason Florida has this reputation is because of public records laws in the state require a lot more transparency about random crimes. plenty of crazies in every state
