I went and listened to the Adnan case via Serial, and it took me a week or more to finish the episodes. But I’m happy to be back to this podcast because I find Crime Junkie more exciting than Serial (not that anything is wrong with Serial).

OK. Jim said that they had a brief conversation with the two other guys who were hiking the trail. The workmen saw two guys come down off the trail, and they specifically said that they had a dog with them. Did Jim mention a dog? Did authorities ask him if they had a dog with them. Seems like it would be a little tidbit to confirm or not confirm his story.

I am Canadian from Ontario. This was an excruciating story. It was recently made worse when they transferred Bernardo from a Maximum security prison to a medium security prison last year. They never even let the victims families know they were doing it. Now Bernardo gets to watch TV, work out in a nice gym, have visitors etc. It’s a kick in the teeth to the families and all of his victims. As for Holmoka, they could have nailed her more had they simply said, here is your deal unless we find out
I need to stop listening. The injustice is just so depressing. They both should not be breathing after what they’ve done. Grr!
It’s maddening how slow and useless the justice system is. They had all the info they needed to save so many girls from life changing assaults from this evil demonic couple!

Listening to these two ladies pretend not to understand ” how this could happen” is excruciating. I wish you would just tell us the story without the terrible play-acting. Ruby and Arnold would have wanted it that way.
