Hi Nate and Tim. I just listened to this for the second time (as I have most of your podcasts). I am from a reformed evangelical background, and in recent years have come to realize that some of our teachings just don’t make sense if one believes that God is love, and that there is no darkness in him. I am willing to “find a way to accept these people” in the Bible if possible, and I believe that you’ve made some good points. But can’t some of your argument be used to support pedophilia, too?

This episode discusses views on atonement that are very near to those held by eastern orthodoxy

But the Bible says that Sodom will be restored in Ezekiel 16:53.

thanks so much. I needed to hear this today. Last week the Lutheran Church of Australia again failed to achieve a two thirds majority to change its public doctrine and allow the ordination of women. You have have confirmed my own theological and hermeneutical beliefs in a clear and refreshing way. As a pastor of said church and along with the almost 60% of voting delegates, thank you.

So glad I found you guys. As a reformed bible bully, I am finding it hard to find kindred spirits on bible topics
