Lance’s questioning of the bishop being able to forgive his sin, because the bishop is just a man, was the same issue I had with priests in the Catholic church. I had an argument with my grandmother in church regarding my refusal to go to confession. The priest was a man and what could he do regarding absolution of my sin? I told her I would confess my sins to Jesus and He would forgive me because that’s what His sacrifice on the cross was all about. She dumbfounded at my insight.

Great episode! I don’t know if you’ll read this but I had a thought on baptism and why Jesus doesn’t mention it while on earth. John the Baptist and Jesus’ disciples baptised people, right? Why would they do that if it wasn’t necessary then? I’m confused at their reasoning.
