Iain Turner sounds like he’s trying to make the UVF sound more skilled than they were. Fact, the UVF stole gelignite from quarries until the Brits changed the law in the early 70s. That’s why UVF bomb attacks stopped around 1974. If the UVF had the same bombmaking skills as the IRA then they would have continued bombing throughout the Conflict.
Turner’s research is up his ... If he doesn’t know the UVF targeted more ordinary Nationalists than members of the IRA then he is clueless and unreliable.
FFS Im from the Falls Road and we knew the identities of who was in the UVF. The UVF couldnt keep their mouths shut and they recruited exclusively from the ranks of RUC informers. So the story about the motorbike and secrecy is BS.
Great podcast. This story was very intense.
Not as well researched as expected... holes in the retelling of historical events.
What a wanker .seriously why did the boys not take this out. S
The commercials are familiar. Are you in the northeast United States?
Iain Turner is clueless -- before he debunks research he should at least know its source and methodology not admit he doesn’t-- he also does not seem to know about the Glenanne connection with the Dublin Monaghan Massacres.
